“Work hard and where you once felt displaced, take the time to explore avenues that make you feel welcome” – Chaker Khazaal
Chaker Khazaal grew up in a refugee camp in Lebanon but did not allow his reality to discourage him from achieving his dreams. His determination and optimism paid off when he was granted a university scholarship in Canada.
Now a proud Canadian citizen, Khazaal provides a voice for refugees and aspiring writers from all countries. More so, his powerful message that advocates for education and increasing opportunities offers much-needed hope and encouragement. Through his articles, novels, lectures and social media platforms, Khazaal humanizes external conflicts. His meaningful work was recently recognized when he was named Esquire Man of the Year at Man At His Best Awards held in Dubai in November 2015.
Bold looks forward to see what Khazaal will do next!
