Donald Trump has targeted immigrants in many of his explosive campaign speeches, but Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson is also passionate about immigrants — and helping them with their plight, according to Politico.
Johnson served two terms as governor of New Mexico, which, at 42 percent, has the highest proportion of Hispanic residents in the country. He had nothing good to say about Trump’s incendiary calls for deporting millions of immigrants.
Johnson hopes to get on to the national stage and make the Libertarian party the third political party of the United States. He supports immigration and gay marriage and wants to legalize marijuana across the nation.
“I want everybody listening to this go to the website, ISideWith.com,” Johnson told Politico. “You answer 60 questions and at the end … you get paired up with the presidential candidate most in line with your views. … My results are, of course, that I side with myself all of the time.”
Johnson loudly disagrees with Trump and provides his reasoning for why the Libertarian Party should be included in national polls in an article and podcast on Politico.
