Anthony Scaramucci made headlines after being fired from the White House, but now another “Mooch” is gaining notoriety. His son, Anthony Scaramucci Jr. — known on social media as @mooch — is making a name for himself outside of politics.
Scaramucci Jr. is getting into the art world — directing videos for artists like Travis Scott, Juice Wrld and DaBaby and gaining thousands of followers with his photography on Instagram. Bold TV caught up with Scaramucci Jr. at the SALT Conference in Las Vegas, which was founded by his father.
The sophomore is still in college studying communications and media but is currently on a gap year working for entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, “following him around with my cameras” and editing and creating content for Vaynerchuk’s social media accounts. Scaramucci Jr. said his ultimate dream is to be a director, a goal he’s had since he was a young kid.
And how does he feel about his dad’s career and fame? Scaramucci Jr. said, “He’s a big role model in my life, he works his ass off, I’m proud of him.”
“A lot of people look at me for my dad first,” he said. But right now, “I just like to focus on myself, make my own success story.”
He told Bold TV, “When I do all my creative work and stuff, and I post it, a lot of people — they don’t even know who my dad is. You know, they just enjoy the rap music.”
