Many different industries are breaking into the world of digital art, including country music. Fan club NFTs are the new thing for fans of the genre.
Parker McCollum
Country music star Parker McCollum created a fan club NFT: the Gold Chain Cowboy Club Black Card. To be a part of the club all you have to do is purchase his NFT, or non-fungible token, on MusicFX. This is a website that wants to connect artists and their fans through crypto. His fans immediately wanted to be a part of the club for the special perks like access to events and meet and greets. The membership sold out just three days after it launched. This NFT provided a way for McCollum to promote his music while creating a community with his fans.
Country Music Association
The Country Music Association incorporated crypto into their 55th CMA Award Show. People who bought this special NFT gained access to special events and exclusive merchandise. There were only 1,000 of these NFTs available which made the value of them go up significantly after fans bought them. They could be purchased through the platform called Solo Music, which uses blockchain technology to bring fans and music closer together. The net proceeds from the NFTs went to the CMA Foundation, which helps music education in schools.
Why fans like crypto
Fans are always looking for ways to interact with their favorite artists on a more personal level. Fan clubs have always been around, but NFTs take it one step further. Now fans are committing a little bit more of themselves monetarily, making their rewards greater. If people were already looking for a way to get their foot into the door of crypto, this provides them with the opportunity to do so.
