Here’s a List of Three Asian American-Owned Businesses That We Love!

One mission of Bold TV is highlighting entrepreneurs from a wide range of communities. To celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, we’re highlighting some Asian American-owned brands we’ve had on the network. They’re producing great products and giving back. Check out the full video here!

1. Soko Glam

Soko Glam is an online skin care store that sells Korean beauty products. Charlotte Cho and her husband Dave Cho created Soko Glam in 2012 to popularize K-beauty skincare and makeup products. In recent years, K-beauty has become a huge phenomenon and is popular among influencers.

In 2019, Bold visited the Soko Glam pop-up shop, where our team learned more about the K-beauty routine and products. Their Good Days For All charity donates to multiple organizations every year. Currently, they are donating a portion of their proceeds to the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. Watch our full interview here.

2. Glow Recipe

Another beauty brand to look into is Glow Recipe. Founders Sarah Lee and Christine Chang met while working at L’Oreal. The former Shark Tank contestants joined Bold to tell us more about their products and their entrepreneurial journey. They combined their industry knowledge with their family’s beauty secrets, and Glow Recipe was born.

Glow Recipe has a Glow For Good foundation where a portion of the sales is donated to organizations dedicated to saving the planet, underserved communities and women. Watch the full interview here!

Vast is a men’s lifestyle brand based in Los Angeles, California. They specialize in surfwear but also sell clothing and accessories. When the pandemic hit, the brand wanted to make a difference, so they learned how to create effective PPE. With this new knowledge, they created antibacterial masks using the same material they use for their surfwear. Vast is also giving back to frontline workers in Los Angeles with select purchases.
