It’s June, and you know what that means: It’s Pride Month. At Bold TV, we see this month as a time to highlight diversity in the workplace, empowering all types of people — including those in the LGBTQ+ community — to succeed in their field. What better way to celebrate this month than to shout out some of the top LGBTQ+ CEOs you should 100% know about.

3 top CEOs in the LGBTQ+ community

Tim Cook

The Apple CEO has the unofficial title of “The Most Powerful Gay Executive in the World.” He has taken Apple to new heights since he became CEO in August 2011, and his current net worth is $1.3 billion. He came out publicly in 2014, becoming the first openly gay CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

Beth Ford

Ford is the CEO of Land O’Lakes and has set a few records. She’s the first female CEO of this company in its century-long history. She also is the first openly LGBTQ+ woman to lead a Fortune 500 company. While many companies don’t succeed with inclusion, Ford said she “never suffered discrimination in the workplace for either her gender or her sexuality.”

Rick Welts

Welts is the president and COO of the Golden State Warriors NBA franchise. People may not know he was also the CEO of the Phoenix Suns from July 2002 to September 2011. His basketball career has been significant, with him being ranked the third highest-ranking official in the NBA as its Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Can you think of any more thriving business people who are also part of the LGBTQ+ community? Let us know in the comments.
