Some women around America are participating in #birthstrike, refusing to have babies due to the impending damages they believe climate change could cause the planet. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-N.Y.) Green New Deal claims that we have 12 years left on the planet if we do not make drastic changes.
“These women are at such a level of hysteria that they are making life decisions — significant life decisions — based on something that I really don’t think should keep you from having a family,” Julie Gunlock told Bold TV. Gunlock is the director of the Center for Progress and Innovation at Independent Women’s Forum. She argued that human innovation and advancing science will protect the planet.
