Bold Life is here to keep you “in the know” on the trendiest premieres. And, of course, binge-worthy TV shows are always noteworthy! Check out our exclusive interview with Nico Tortorella and Darren Star from the hit show “Younger.”
Season seven of “Younger” premieres tonight, and we have a lot to look forward to! Since season one, viewers have followed Liza Miller, played by Sutton Foster, through a web of deception as she lies about her age to be accepted into her dream industry.
Dreaming of a fantasy … We’ve all been there.
In her fantasy life, Miller is a 26-year-old assistant at a Millennial-heavy book publishing company, and she’s attracting all the fine and established men. Though in reality, she’s a 40-year-old divorced mother looking to redefine her life by finding a new purpose … while still attracting all the fine and established men! Before she knows it, this female lead finds herself in a web of lies, a few entanglements and some pivotal problematic moments.
Season seven leads viewers to groundbreaking questions. What will happen between Liza and Josh? Will Liza marry Charles? What is Kelsey’s – played by Hillary Duff – next career move? There is so much to answer!
Behind the scenes
As the show is coming to an end, Darren Star and Nico Tortorella reminisced with Bold TV about their favorite “Younger” behind-the-scenes moments and why the show continues to be a fan favorite.
People really respond to any character who is willing to reinvent their lives … Liza really challenges herself even though she does it in an unconventional – sometimes unethical – way, but we understand why she is doing this. I feel like the audience roots for this character to succeed in work and love. And I think we can all relate to a character who doesn’t want to be defined by her age and is sort of pushing through her limitations.
