The online world is growing: We’ve seen remote school and work become big in the past few years, streaming services are our favorites, and now NFTs are the hottest new products. You could buy anything from artwork to video games, music, and videos as NFTs, otherwise known as non-fungible tokens. But where exactly can you buy NFTs? Let’s find out!
Where can I buy an NFT?
Check out this list of marketplaces:
1.OpenSea is a New York-based (and the largest) marketplace with over 34 million NFTs in sports, music, games, digital art, domain names, virtual worlds, and collectibles. They do fixed prices and auctions and accept payment through USD Coin and other tokens.
2. Mintable is a Singapore-based marketplace built on Ethereum and Zilliqa blockchains. On this platform, you can turn your digital goods into NFTs without having to pay beforehand. And you can also buy NFTs, with the ability to pay via cryptocurrency.
3. Rarible is a Delaware-based marketplace that buys and sells photography, games, music, animated videos, and GIFs. It’s a multichain marketplace, meaning you can buy, mint, and sell NFTs on more than one blockchain.
4. Sorare is a Paris-based marketplace that focuses on sports. Users can collect cards as NFTs and use the cards in online competitions. They only use the Ethereum blockchain on this site.
Is it worth investing in NFT art?
If you have extra money to spare and love digital art, it can be a good idea to buy NFT, though it is still a relatively new concept. Also, they can be expensive and, for the most part, only accept payment through cryptocurrency. But if you like to try new things and are a lover of art, this may be for you. Buying NFTs also supports independent artists, and these digital pieces last longer than a physical copy.
