Summer Must-Have: Bite Helper Itch Neutralizer

Welcome back to Show and Tell, where Peter Salib unboxes sweet tech for every area of your life. In this episode, Salib unboxes the Bite Helper Itch Neutralizer. Summer brings a lot of happiness: Vitamin D, tan skin, barbecues, fresh watermelon … and bugs. Nothing ruins a summer night like acquiring dozens of mosquito bites. The itch is annoying, and scratching often leaves a scab. Citronella candles, bug spray and bug zapper lanterns can’t keep all of the six-legged pests from succeeding. But the Bite Helper is an itch neutralizer, perfect for recuperating after a night outside. Let’s see how this device works.

How it neutralizes a bug bite without chemicals

The Bite Helper doesn’t use any drugs or chemicals to relieve the itch of bug bites. It uses thermal pulse technology to neutralize the bite. When you get bitten or stung, put the metal tip of the Bite Helper onto the affected area. While you hold for 45 seconds, the device combines heat and pulsing vibrations to break down the toxins of the bite. It neutralizes the toxins, increasing circulation in the area. This technology works on ant, fly and mosquito bites as well as wasp and bee stings. But it’s important to note that it doesn’t suppress allergic reactions to bites.

Winning an innovation award from CES

Maxogen is the company that produces the Bite Helper. It’s an FDA- registered medical device manufacturer with production and warehousing facilities in the U.S. and Asia. The CEO Eugene Zabolotsky is an expert in health care tech and is on the board of the American Mosquito Control Association. The company won a Consumer Electronics Show innovation award, which honors outstanding design and engineering. So if you’re looking for a clinically tested and applauded device to relieve your summer bug bite woes, this could be it!
