Businesswomen who play key roles in their fields, from Ayesha Curry to Mary Higgins Clark to Barbara Corcoran, are featured in Veronica Dagher’s new e-book, “Resilience: How 20 Ambitious Women Used Obstacles to Fuel Their Success.” Dagher, host of The Wall Street Journal’s “Secrets of Wealthy Women” podcast, joined Bold Business to expand on the stories of women who have overcome challenges that led to their achievements.
She continued, “The women I spoke to like Ayesha Curry or Mary Higgins Clark or Sheila Johnson — they’ve all had various obstacles they had to overcome, and the difference between women like that and sort of the average folks are that when they fall and face an obstacle, they do not let it get to them down, they just keep going.”
Dagher also said that social media plays a pivotal part in fabricating real life issues that we all overlook.
“You see on Instagram and social media these women with incredible lives, you are like ‘They must have always had it made, everything goes their way,’ and you know that’s not the case,” she said.
