After WSJ Claims Gig Economy Statistics Were Too High, This Gig Expert Is Still Optimistic

In light of a recent Wall Street Journal article reporting that estimates of the gig economy’s impact may have been too high, a gig economy expert joined Bold Business with a positive outlook on its sustainability.

Marcos Jacober, CEO of Life Hacks Wealth, said the gig economy is providing entrepreneurs with 85 percent of the means to open and expand their businesses. Jacober said the main problem people have with the gig economy is that they join the gig workplace with an “employee mentality” and the assumption that “the only way to make money is to trade time for money.”
