Cocktails are a 100-year-old craft, and some specific drinks have been staples for years. However, they are limited to places with bars and experienced bartenders. A few experienced bartenders and managers and owners got together and wondered if there was a place for bottled craft cocktails. Roxane Mollicchi, Darren Grenia and Julian Mohamed had the idea for Wandering Barman, a business of unique bottled cocktails with quality ingredients and less waste. Based in Bushwick, these three co-founders took a train ride to share their company’s vision with Bold TV.
Wandering Barman is All About the Ingredients
Wandering Barman prides itself in the unique flavor profile and quality of the drinks. Every ingredient in their drink has a specific purpose and makes the drink fully dimensional. Flavor profiles range from spicy to boozy to fruity to floral. Their ingredients range from elderberry to turmeric and are mostly sourced in the United States. Because its founders have experience in bartending, they know when one ingredient overpowers another, such as the sweetness overtaking the bitterness. While the typical made-to-order cocktail is created with ingredients to the nearest seven grams, Wandering Barman prioritizes precision and crafts their recipes to the nearest 0.1 gram.
Expanding Your Market
This business isn’t looking to replace bartenders and made-to-order drinks. They want to expand the reach of cocktails. Have you ever been to a concert and wanted a more involved drink than beer or wine? Their bottled, flask-style, single-serving drinks are perfect for restaurants, music venues and hotels. Wandering Barman is creating a community of “wanderers,” expanding to six new states in the upcoming months.
